Barre classes attract people who want to develop the lean muscle tone of a ballerina.  Benefits include improved strength, posture, flexibility, balance, stability, endurance, and muscle definition and reduced stress.  This is a great social outlet too - learn something new about yourself as part of it all.  The exercises in this class target muscles that support the body and which are often neglected in everyday life or by other forms of exercise.
